Migrace slonů mezi Minneriya, Kaudulla a ekoparkem Hurulu

V těsné blízkosti se v této oblasti nacházejí tři národní parky. Jsou to (A) Národní park Kaudulla, (B) Ekopark Hurulu a (C) Národní park Minneriya. Všechny tři parky jsou nesmírně oblíbené mezi místními obyvateli i cizinci po celém světě díky svým velkým stádům slonů. Obecně se každý rok v měsících červenec až září vyskytují v Národním parku Minneriya velké skupiny slonů, kteří poté v měsících říjen až listopad migrují do Národního parku Kaudulla kvůli silným dešťům a zaplňování jezer. Poté se sloni v měsíci prosinec až leden přesunou do Ekoparku Hurulu, kde se uskuteční poslední etapa jejich migrace.
